Daking 500-Series Compressor and EQ at Front End Audio

Daking has announced two new products designed for 500-series format: the Daking Comp 500 500-Series Compressor and the Daking EQ 500 500-Series Equalizer and Front End Audio is taking orders.



The Daking Comp 500 500-Series Compressor is a simple to use VCA compressor/limiter in a 500 series format. Although it is a VCA, it behaves and sounds much like the FET circuitry found in the other Daking compressors, like the Daking FET III Stereo Compressor. Relying on his years of experience and testing, Geoff has designed a simple semi-automatic compressor useful for both tracking and mixing. The compression is set with one knob-- less compression or more compression. Attack is switchable between fast and slow, and Release is switchable between fast and Auto. Ratio is about 4:1 (comp) or 20+:1 (limit). In addition, Comp 500 units are stereo linkable. The stereo link is very accurate and can link up to 6 units if necessary.

The Daking EQ 500 500-Series Equalizer is an inductor based Parametric Equalizer designed for the 500 series format. The EQ 500 is based on the renowned EQ section of the Daking MicPre/EQ Mic Preamp & EQ, and its four bands have all the frequencies that a mixing or tracking engineer will typically find to be his or her "go to" frequencies. Each band has an "out" position, rather than relying on center detent pots, which are typically less accurate than a simple bypass. Easy to use, and famously "sweet" sounding, the Daking EQ 500 is the perfect addition to your 500 series rack.
