Focal Professional Visits Front End Audio

Last week, Simon Côté from Focal Professional, stopped by Front End Audio to welcome us to their family of authorized dealers and to conduct a thorough training and demonstration of the whole of the Focal Professional line of studio monitors.

“We are very excited about taking on the Focal line” says Sales Manager Alan Moon. “The quality of reproduction afforded by Focal’s unique design technologies and years of manufacturing expertise, make for a line of studio monitors that will not only allow you to make mixes that will easily translate to the outside world, but will also allow you to very quickly tune into the minutiae and quickly tweak elements that you would probably have missed if monitoring on other monitors. For example, while evaluating a pair of the Twin6 Be monitors, I had pulled up a mix that I had been working on using a pair of monitors that I have really gotten to know over the past year. I immediately heard balance problems and a reverb buildup that I had been buried before. I started tweaking and got it sounding ‘acceptable’ without spending tons of time on it like I normally would. When I later put the old monitors back up, the mix was MUCH better than before I had tweaked it on the pair Twin6 Be monitors. It’s plainly apparent that the SM6 line of monitors will save you time mixing and will likely lengthen your life via the by-product of simply lowering your mix-related stress. Your hairline will likely slow it’s recession as well."

Focal has a monitor for everyone serious about great mixes. The award-winning CMS line of Focal monitors provides a very professional monitoring option for home studios and post production. Focal’s reinforced and damped, powder-coated aluminum cabinet construction gives you an incredibly sturdy and solid soundstage as a result of lower incidences of cabinet vibration coloring the sound provided by Focal’s poly-glass woofer, Aluminum/Magnesium inverted dome tweeters, and powerful, very-efficient Class AB amplifiers. “Both the CMS40 and CMS50  demonstrated impressive attributes. The dynamics and frequency balance we were hearing, sounded like they were much larger monitors than they were. The low frequency reproduction is a case of to hear is to believe. The CMS40s sounded like a six inch woofer, not a four inch woofer. The CMS50s were comparable to that of an eight inch speaker. The clincher in this performance is that the low-end maintained clarity and a high level of detail, not the muddiness one would expect from drivers of this size. I don’t think that anyone who knows a bit about studio monitors could argue about the price point of the CMS line, after hearing them. These are a truly impressive line of monitors, and high-end all the way.”

We feel that if you’re recording and mixing music, doing post-production work, or just plain need a set of monitors that you can rely on then you need to checkout Focal monitors.
